A big fan of “Resident Evil” games made her own version of RE4 but this time in a romance Otome game setting. “Resident Evil 4” is the fourth installment of the popular game series and was released back in 2005. Although the game was a big hit with its fans, many were not happy with the style and the plot points of the game. And this is probably what inspired a fan to make a new version of the game.
According to Gamerant, the fan released a “Resident Evil 4: Otome Edition” and it centers on the perspective of Ashley Graham. The game features the romance side of her life from the time she was kidnapped up to the point when she started to have feelings to her rescuer. Players that have tried the fan-made game said the storyline was very impressive. Especially how its creator perfectly mixed shots from the original game and the visual novel genre.
At the moment, the game has a demo version and interested gamers can try it for free now according to PC Gamer. It can be completed in less than 1 hour and many of the players that have tried it are considering to get its full version. It's also a great play for hardcore fans of “Resident Evil 4” because it gives them a chance to relive the game but in a different concept.
Another notable difference this version has from the original is the eligible bachelors the player can choose from. It doesn’t only include Leon but also Luis, the mysterious merchant, and even Lord Saddler. How the story will turn out will fully depend on the player’s choices. Gamers can play it by choosing the options they want or just out of curiosity. At the moment, “Resident Evil 4: Otome Edition” is only available in demo version and there is no confirmation when the full version will be out.
