Two major titles that would become available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS would be the focus of Nintendo Direct on Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET. The presentation, the first in a long while, features “Arms” and “Splatoon 2.” The release dates for the two video games would likely be made during Nintendo Direct.
Live Stream
It would be the first Nintendo Direct presentation since the company launched Nintendo Switch on March 3. Gamers could watch the presentation that would be live streamed on the Nintendo website, IGN, YouTube, and Twitch, IGN reports. The last Nintendo Direct for North America was more than seven months ago on Sept. 1, 2016, when the company promoted 3DS and the new games that would launch with the console.
There was also a recent Nintendo Direct presentation in January that focused on upcoming titles, particularly “Fire Emblem,” Heavy notes. In March, Polygon tried “Splatoon 2” at the global multiplayer stress test of Nintendo. The gaming website says the game was similar to the original “Splatoon” which was a stylish squid shooter.
More Exciting Game
Because “Arms” is a new title, Polygon says it makes the upcoming game more exciting. The new game, to be featured in the April 12 Nintendo Direct presentation, is a multiplayer fighter game that uses the Joy-Con controllers in several positions, including vertically, for superhero characters to punch each other using special moves.
Nintendo 3DS would launch this 2017 “Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia” and “Ever Oasis” which Polygon has already seen. However, the two titles are not included in the Nintendo Direct presentation that Polygon would also live stream. IGN adds that it expects Nintendo to also mention briefly “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” which it would roll out on April 28.
