‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ New Update Prevents Pirates From Cracking The Game

Apr 12, 2017 03:54 AM EDT

The latest update of “Mass Effect: Andromeda” doesn’t just fix game bugs and improve graphics but it also prevents pirates from cracking the game. In addition, current users of cracked version will no longer be able to upgrade their game. The new update is patch 1.05 and it began rolling last April 6.

According to BioWare’s announcement, patch 1.05 introduces several balance changes to both multiplayer and single mode and resolve saving issues in the game. Graphics improvements have also been implemented in the game and it includes facial and lip-syncs movements, particularly when in conversations. And of course the request of the players to allow skipping the galaxy map’s autopilot sequence.

But what was not mentioned in the announcement is that the update also effectively prevents hackers from cracking the game according to Gamespot. This new anti-hack system is said to be also the same patch used by other games like “Dead Rising 4”, “NieR: Automata” and “2Dark”. This patch is said to have never been broken which is why the list of games using it continues to grow.

One of the things that players like the most about this patch are the graphic improvements, especially the eyes and the Asari characters. The updated version shows better voice-over lip syncing and makes gameplay better by allowing players to skip certain sequence. This sequence can be quite lengthy so many players prefer to skip them and just continue playing the game.

“Mass Effect: Andromeda” is developed by BioWare Montreal and published by EA. It can be played on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was first released last March 2017 and just after 10 days, a cracked version of the game is already circulating online. It is the fourth installment of the game and the last one was released back in 2012.
