The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 could be announced in the weeks to come, ending the long wait that a tablet buyer has been yearning for. Assuming that the laplet does come out, most are more eager to know if the device will carry major changes.

To date, Microsoft has opted to stay silent and surprise most when it comes to the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. One thing that may almost be certain is the Surface Pro tablet coming armed with an Intel Kaby Lake chipset, assuring most that they will get a mobile device capable of handling the power requirements that have ramped up to date. Aside from that, is there anything else to look forward to?

According to technology podcaster Paul Thurrott, there may be no other major changes coming forward for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. He claims that being told that the tablet will not come with a Surface Connect power connector. Could there be more specs carried on from the Surface Pro 4?

There are other more important specs potential Microsoft Surface Pro 5 buyers would be looking for. There is the Thunderbolt 3.0 support, USB Type-C connector as well as the screen display size and resolution according to The Next Web. With the mileage that Microsoft has had, it is possible that they may be taking it easy.

To date, Microsoft has benefitted from the disappointment brought by the MacBook and iPad Pro, notably the move to stay with the Intel Skylake chipset. The reason behind such has been explained time and again, one associated with the supply and the timing of which it hit the market.

Before drawing up a conclusion, it would be best to note for tablet buyers that Microsoft is most likely saving the big reveal once the time is right. A hardware event is happening in the coming weeks and most are hoping to see the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 – together with specs that will hopefully be perfect for the newest member of the group.
