It's been a while since "God of War" demo was shown at E3 2016 and there have not been any major updates, until now. Earlier today, it was noted that "God of War" PS4 is going to feature a multiplayer mode in its gameplay. The upcoming title is going to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive offering a new storyline with everyone's beloved character Kratos.
The reports on the game's new mode came were noted after a recent job listing on the official website of the GOW developer, SIE Santa Monica Studio. According to the job profile, the developers required a senior multiplayer programmer for the "God of War" PS4. The site was further noted to quote that the developers are looking for a multiplayer programmer who would want "all players to have the best possible shared experience," reported Playstation Universe.
Fans should note that this is not the first time a "God of War" title is getting a multiplayer mode. The PS3 title, "God of War: Ascension" was also noted to feature a multiplayer mode. Furthermore, even though the developing team's job posting for a multiplayer programmer hints on the new game to have a multiplayer portion, it does not officially confirm it for now.
"God of War" PS4 title, unlike the previous installments, is the first one to feature a third-person perspective while playing it. If the multiplayer mode is a possibility, then there is certainly going to be a new and improved look in the gameplay. "God of War: Ascension" multiplayer mode lacks that freedom which a third-person character possesses.
Director, Cory Barlog, had stated on previous occasions that there will not be a multiplayer mode in the "God of War" PS4 but maybe the developers have decided to feature the mode in the upcoming PS4 exclusive. It is also to be noted that the job listing was not announced for specifically the upcoming GOW title. As the game nears its release date, desperation increases among fans to play as Kratos with his son Atreus, Game Rant reported.
