There were a lot of instances which saw the price cut of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the past few months. It is again going on discount rate with retail giant Amazon dropping the price of the Surface Pro 4's Core i5 model down to only $730.
Amazon new discounted price for the Core i5 model of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 hits rock bottom. This move by the American online retail giant looks to be an attempt to outdo competitors or it is an indicator that Successor to this i.e. rumored as Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release is near.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has endured a salvo of price cuts in recent weeks, but as is typical of retailers, most of them have focused on the entry-level Core m3-based model. However, Amazon is raising the stakes by dropping the price of the Core i5 Surface Pro 4 to $729.92.
The Core i5 Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is cheaper than the Redmond-based tech giant's direct price, $270 cheaper to be exact. According to Toms Guide, Amazon's Surface Pro 4 deal has no expiration date, but as with most good deals you shouldn't count on it lasting long.
The listed Microsoft Surface Pro 4 does not come with a type cover but it does come with a Surface Pen. The Type Cover is being sold by Amazon at $98 and just like the Surface Pro 4 it is also cheaper than Microsoft's price by $31.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is Microsoft's current-generation 2-in-1, sporting a beautiful 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a 2736 x 1824 resolution. Unlike the entry level model, that houses a 0.9GHz Core m3 processor, this system is powered by a 3GHz Core i5 Skylake processor which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.
With the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 continuously being offered at discounted prices and with the recent one being the cheapest, this could also mean the launch of the Surface Pro 5 is possibly just around the corner as generally company clears stock of old models for new variant arrival.
Although Microsoft continuous to be quiet about its next-generation 2-in-1 device, which is the successor of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, famous technology blogger and journalist Paul Thurrot tweeted that it will still sport the same Surface Connect power connector and will run on the Kaby Lake processor as speculated, as per The Verge. Thurrot's tweet has come on April 6 and reads, "Surface Pro 5 will not change the Surface Connect power connector, I was just told. Kaby Lake, nothing dramatic".
