"Mass Effect Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update have been released last Thursday, on April 6, giving a number of in-game fixes and improvements including the facial expression matter. For PC users, however, this patch bring along with it another new bug, making the screen goes blank, become black, and totally unplayable.
There are many players reported on the BioWare Message Boards and the EA Answers Support Site that after the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update were applied, the title become unplayable on PC. The bug won't let gamers either to launch the game or running into black screens and a very long loading times if they are able to open it.
In regards of the new bug created from the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update, EA has officially acknowledged the issue, providing them ways to fix the bug manually. There are three solutions that are given to handle this problem with the first way is to renew the game's version by right-clicking and selecting 'Update Game' in Origin. If that's not helping, players can try the second workaround by playing the game in Offline mode. If the two solutions above aren't helping, try the third method by deleting the "Andromeda." exe files and completely re-installing the title.
Unfortunately, there are still many fans claiming that all three of the workarounds given by EA aren't effective and not solving the problem at all. Luckily, one of the users posting on the BioWare Answer Support Site provides a better solution that works fine with most users encountering this bug coming from "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update.
According to WWG, to fix this annoying bugs from "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update, the user mentioned above recommending PC players to go Offline then launch the game (this person added that gamers that have never played offline should register their login email and password first). Once the game has started, please click Alt+Tab out then choose go online on the Origin tab and press the Alt+Tab command once again to go back to the game.
Things starting a bit tricky here, fans need to press X on PC while at the main menu to reconnect to online mode (This user said that the message at the bottom screen will give prompt). No need to panic if the screen goes black, just go to the installation menu then delete the .exe files (According to this person, gamers need to erase both the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Trial files to fix the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update).
Players need to open the game again and this time, it will auto-detect the missing files and replace them automatically. This solution has worked for most users so it's worth trying, especially since Bioware or EA, up until now, hasn't officially prepared any in-depth workarounds for the bug coming from "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update.
There are numerous fixes and improvements that BioWare applied to make the game better including fixing the previous issue about lip-synching and facial emotions during in-game dialogues. Besides adding stability and performance improvements, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Patch 1.05 features update will also allow fans to skip the autopilot sequences in the Galaxy Map, as reported by PCGamer.
