Apr 07, 2017 10:34 AM EDT

Google's Nexus lineup has always been about showing off the best of Android smartphones. The LG-built Google Nexus 5X is the best pick for people who want a small, lightweight smartphone which comes at very affordable price

The Google Nexus 5X was a great phone at an even more reasonable price when it first rolled out in 2015. The Nexus 5X remains a compelling, lighter-weight alternative to bigger Android smartphones like the Nexus 6P and Moto X. Unfortunately, its success was just short-lived since Google brought out the Pixel and Pixel XL at the end of 2016, the Nexus 5x gets increasingly hard to get hold of these days.

According to NDTV, The Nexus 5X is a premium polycarbonate and lightweight device. The front smartphone is equally plain, no logos, no buttons, just a pair of speaker grills, a camera, and wrapped with Gorilla Glass 3. It sports a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. The Nexus 5X is powered by 1.8GHz hexacore Snapdragon 808 processor and is equipped with a decent 2GB of RAM. The Google Nexus 5X comes with 16GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded.

Google Nexus 5X boasts a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the main side, while a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies. The device's camera features IR laser-assisted autofocus 4K (30fps) video capture, 120 fps slow motion video capture, and Broad-spectrum CRI-90 dual flash. The Nexus 5X now runs Android 7.0 Nougat after the update. Under the hood, it carries a 2700mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone measures 147.00 x 72.60 x 7.90 and weighs 136.00 grams, as per 247 Techy.

The Nexus 5X by LG is now being offered at a very pocket-friendly price of $229 at eBay.  According to CNET, the Google Nexus 5X offers great performance, an excellent fingerprint sensor and a relatively small, wide carrier compatibility, great pictures,  lightweight chassis, all a pocket-friendly price. The device comes with three colors variants, Carbon, Quartz, and Ice.

Nexus 5X's battery life is surely a little weak, and the device looks and feels cheap when compared to similarly priced phones. The front-facing speaker sounds are having terrible. The LG-built Google Nexus 5X is a fantastic pick for people who want a small, lightweight smartphone with excellent value for money.
