Samsung Gear S2 News: Patch Update Stabilizes Bluetooth Connectivity Issues Plus More

Apr 07, 2017 03:02 AM EDT

The Samsung Gear S2 has had its share of problems and one of the celebrated ones involve Bluetooth connectivity. A new update is reportedly being rolled out, something for versions R732XXU2EQC1 and R7320XA2EQC1 in Europe.

Better connections ahead

With the release of the new firmware for the Samsung Gear S2, most are hoping to see stability improvements for the Bluetooth connectivity once the update is applied. The patch is just about 19.64 MB which includes some other minor stuff such as bumping the Tizen OS version to 2.3.2.2, Sam Mobile reported. For those who want to update, all you have to do is head on over to the Gear Manager app to apply the patch.

Update mildly steals some thunder from Samsung Gear S3

For those up-to-date with the latest wearables, the Samsung Gear S2 is not exactly one of the fresh devices one can get from the market. The Samsung Gear S3 is the latest top dog, something that most will want according to Techniblogic.

The shift from the Samsung Gear S2 to the S3 hardly comes as a surprise considering the Korean giant has always been one up in the tech business. The latest Samsung wearable is available in two variants – the Classic and Frontier.

Big improvements yearned

Being the new kid on the block, the Samsung Gear S3 will expectedly come with improvements both inside and out. It sports a full circle display and a rotating bezel that is responsible for controlling the circular UI of the smartwatch. The variants cater to both classic and modern class, rendering flexibility for folks who want a wearable suited to their overall wardrobe.

The Samsung Gear S3 does look impressive but quality comes at a price. It may be a bit steep to the average consumer and could do well to expand the internal storage a bit. Other than that, expect the latest Samsung wearable to be a big upgrade from the Samsung Gear S2.
