Sony’s New Security Update Covers New Update To Xperia Z5, Z3 Plus, and Z4 Tablet

Sony Mobile has recently released a new firmware update for the Xperia Z3 Plus, Xperia Z5, and Zperia Z4 tablet moving the build number to 32.3.A.2.33. This latest version will include March 1, 2017, Google security patches.

According to Xperia Blog, this version might have finally fixed the audio issues introduced with the Android Nougat firmware. This includes a fix for the imbalance of top/bottom speakers and low in-call volume fix. The user may update their handsets and let Sony Mobile knows what changes users must notice.

The Xperia system update comes with an 187.3 megabyte which is the latest Android software from Sony, now available at any Xperia devices mentioned earlier. Users must update their software to get the latest features and the most out of their Xperia handsets.

It is noted that all existing user date will be unaffected by this software new 32.3.A.2.33 update. Users cannot revert to a previous version after performing the upgrade. Users can also use a computer to update their devices.

The new Sony update replaces Android's integrated audio effects with SONY Audio Effects Engine in a bid to boost sound performance on the Xperia. By this, Sony's code will now run all MusicFX functionalities on your device instead of the original Android algorithm.

The update fixes the restarting issue of the default Bluetooth application as well as a graphical bug in the camera app shortcuts. This 187.3 MB release also offers VoWi-Fi support for some carrieis in Germany which allows for calls to be made when there is no mobile signal and better indoor coverage. Both VoLTE and VoWi-Fi support is also rolled out to some carriers in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

Meanwhile, the Nougat update for these devices was first released back this year's January but was pulled shortly thereafter due to issues reported by early adopters, as noted by GSM Arena. This new system design already offers exciting tweaks to your Xperia experience and it will be interesting to see what the next firmware update will deliver.
