Xiaomi has recently confirmed that it would be launching its flagship device, Xiaomi MI6 this month. The company CEO Lei Jun has also confirmed the news through the live streaming session. Even though the exact date of the release not known, some rumors suggest it might be sometime around April 11 and April 18. The device was believed to arrive in April, however the launch was pushed back to April. This is one of the most awaited smartphones from Xiaomi that the tech geeks are looking forward to.
As per NDTV Gadgets360.com, there might also be a bigger and better version of the device known as Xiaomi MI6 Plus. The device would also come in three variants as per earlier reports and might sport a dual curved display. The device might come in two screen sizes as well, a 5.15 inch and a 5.8 inch. With just a few days left for the unveiling of the device, the rumors circling the device have been growing bigger.
Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi MI6 is believed to be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 SoC. However, as per Huffington Post, the second version might include Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Several leaks suggested that the device would come in several variants such as 4GB of RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. The price ranges from 19000 INR or CNY 1,999 for Xiaomi MI 6 and 25000 INR or CNY 2,699 for Xiaomi MI 6 Plus, approximately.
Earlier it was expected that the device would debut at the MWC 2017. However, Xiaomi gave the event a miss. New rumors suggested a Mi Mix with ceramic build and without bezels. Interestingly, the device is rumored to be the most expensive smartphone from Xiaomi. Along with other features it is expected to include a 3000mAh battery. All variants of the smartphone would include a 12 megapixel camera. It would also include Quad HD 2K OLED display for outstanding clarity.
