Asus ROG GX800 Laptop Reviewed

People who checked out the Asus ROG GX800 Power beast at the Consumer Electronics Show this year noticed that the company provides a free suitcase to carry it around. That's right, The GX800 is so big in size due to its external water cooling block. Asus has provided versatile cooling options for users, so the user can either air cool it or use the water block.

The Asus ROG GX800 is still a laptop for those wondering. With an 18-inch display and a resolution of 4K, Asus has done a fantastic job by designing a unique water cooling block that can apparently be unplugged with the press of a latch at the back and then lift the laptop off the cooling block.  With the only downside being the lack of portability of the laptop, it's one of the most powerful laptops by Asus yet even replacing their predecessor models.

The graphics department for the ROG GX800 consists of two Pascal series GTX 1080's running in SLI. On top of it, a Skylake i7 6820 HK running at full power. It also supports G-Sync technology by Nvidia. The laptop comes with plenty of connectivity options, they've just put in everything they could think of. Here's the major compromise, users will have to trade mobility in return for an external cooling block.

Reports from the Digit reports that the ROG GX800 was recently launched for Indian customers for a massive price of INR 7,97,990 which nearly converts to US $12,000. The laptop can achieve overclocks up to 4.4gHz which is really impressive but that said major credit goes to the Hydro cooling block that's bundled with the laptop.

The mechanical keyboard on the ROG GX800 is compliant with Asus' Aura RGB sync. It is powered by a 76Wh power brick. It runs on the latest Windows 10 with a memory capacity of 64GB.
