Apr 05, 2017 09:48 AM EDT

American network service operator T-Mobile has released two new features, Scam ID, and Scam Block, which will limit incoming scam call. These features have patent-pending technology that will analyze the call.

T-Mobile CTO Neville Rey discussed that each year three out of four citizens in the US received at least one incoming scam call from fraudster that scammed over half a billion dollars annually. Hence, he and his team decided to design these two new features, Scam ID, and Scam Block with built in patent-pending technology, T-Mobile reported.

Incoming scam call will come from travel promo to Medicare cons, however, these two new features of T-Mobile will identify if a call is a fraud or legit. Scam ID will inform the user if the incoming call is likely a scam. While Scam Block has an advanced feature, wherein it will automatically block any calls recognized as a scam by the first feature. However, subscribers no need to worry as both features have built in patent-pending technology, BGR reported.

The good thing about these two new features, whenever a call reaches T-Mobile network the patent-pending technology will analyze an incoming scam call against the global database, which contains thousands of known fraudsters. This database is updated time to time, while Scam ID and Scam Block are both available on all devices of the said network.

Patent-pending technology isn't just the good thing about these two new features of T-Mobile, both Scam ID and Scam Block are for FREE. The subscriber just needs to turn it on to block incoming scam call.

To have a full access of T-Mobile two new features, dial #ONI# (#664#) to have Scam ID while dial #ONB# (#662#) for Scam Block. However, the company warns subscribers that turning the latter feature on can also block not just the incoming scam call but legitimate calls as well, so if decided to disable it just dial #OFB# (#632#).
