Apple introduced its latest tablet in the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the device is now up for pre-order. Being a new tablet in the market, most would want one to upgrade or for their collection. But the question is whether it would be wise to get it?
Being a new device, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro should be an interesting buy. Price will play a role but most would not care for as long as it has improved specs. At first glance, the latest iPad Pro offering seems impressive until a teardown exposed something interesting about the new tablet.
iFixit tore down the 9.7-inch iPad Pro to determine what the Cupertino company did from within. Sadly, most may be disappointed with the revelation. It turns out that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro borrowed some features from the iPad Air.
It turned out that the internal frame divisions and the arrangement of the components of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro were pretty much identical to the iPad Air. In general, it seemed to hint at Apple becoming a bit timid when it comes to re-designing the internal components of the new iPad variants. Could it happen to the ones which have yet to be released?
Before jumping to conclusions, it would be best to note that all this doesn’t mean that the recently released iPad Pro is a bad buy. For $330, it seems pretty much reasonable. Performance still stands out so aesthetics take a back seat, Digital Trends points out. It may not be stellar though Apple may have released this variant in an effort to appease buyers for the time-being.
Placing the design angle aside, it may be also worthy to note that Apple intended the 9.7-inch iPad Pro for the cost-conscious individuals. The price and features will apparently move up from here. The design could be a killer for some but for as long as it delivers a credible performance, all that should not factor in the consumer’s buying decision.
