‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Latest News & Update: Microsoft Project Scorpio To Render First Glimpse Of Sequel

Apr 04, 2017 07:16 AM EDT

Microsoft could be providing consumers an advanced glimpse of Project Scorpio with “Red Dead Redemption 2” as one of the demoed games for the upcoming game console. Other games that could be possibly shown include “Forza 7” and “Star Wars: Battlefront II.”

The game lineup possibly aiding Project Scorpio was leaked by Windows Central. The inclusion of “Red Dead Redemption” and the other game titles was reportedly from the marketing materials they had obtained before the actual E3 event set for June.

For now, it would be best to take these claims lightly. There is a chance that other games could be used other than “Red Dead Redemption 2,” seeing that Rockstar Games has kept a tight lid on the progress of the sequel to date. RDR2 will not be an exclusive game, likely following the lead of its rival in the PS4 Pro. If ever a demo does take place, it will be more on showing off the 4K resolution capability of the game console rather than the actual game proper.

The earliest that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will come out is by the fall with the game available for both the Microsoft Project Scorpio and the PS4 Pro. Seeing the upped features and specs of both consoles, that revelation (if true) should be something.

In all, “Red Dead Redemption 2” is turning out nothing more than a pawn in the mix as Microsoft is reportedly ramping up its marketing efforts. Most will want to see how the game graphics perform on the touted “true 4K” gaming alongside the other highly anticipated games for 2017, Yahoo reported.

Regardless of which console proves to be better, the important thing is seeing the game. Once the demo is out, expect more rumors on the actual game features gun-slinging gamers will be looking forward to later this year.
