Latest iOS 10.3 hurried Apple users to bring up to date their devices. However, recent reports said that the next OS software update, iOS 11 will wipe out estimated 187,000 old 32-bit apps to give way with a 64-bit processor.
Late last year, Apple discussed the next OS software update; iOS 11 will be coming on the market by September, this year MacWorld reported. All iPhones before iPhone 5s are all running with 32-bit apps and only iPhone 5s, 6, 6s, 6s Plus, 7 and 7 Plus devices with a 64-bit processor.
On that account, tech experts from SensorTower confirmed that the next OS software update, iOS 11 will stop roughly 8 percent of the 2.4 million or 187,000 32-bit apps on the App store. "It's likely that Apple is aiming to reduce the "bloat" and increase the performance of future iOS versions on new 64-bit processor devices with this (potential) move," SensorTower added.
The downside is, most of the Apple users disapproved that next OS software update, iOS 11 will kill most of the 32-bit apps. However, the Company said that most of those apps lacking 64-bit processor are just old trivia games that haven't updated for years, so there's no need to worry.
If you have an updated Apple iOS 10.3, you can see the list of apps lacking 64-bit processor. Just go to Settings > General > About > Applications, it will show all the 32-bits apps that will not work on the next OS software update, iOS 11.
Apple warns that the list of apps lacking 64-bit processor may "slow down your iPhone" and may not be compatible with the next OS software update, iOS 11. So as early as now, the Company advised users to update their 32-bit app on their devices. If there is no available update, Company said that it is better to contact the app developer to seek instruction. For more tech news update, find out here!
