OnePlus 5 Specs, Features, Release Date, Rumors: Everything We Know So Far!

OnePlus 5 might soon get unveiled if latest reports are to be believed. The Chinese tech giant has really gotten into the habit of producing high-quality smartphones. OnePlus 3T is a prime example of a highly-advanced smartphone at the affordable price.

First of all several speculations claim that the OnePlus happens to skip the OnePlus 4 and jump directly to OnePlus 5, this is not because of any technical glitches or something, but due to a Chinese superstitious belief that refers 'number 4' to be an extremely unlucky number. Well, whatever it may be the reason; there are lots of reports, rumors and speculations surfacing on the internet regarding the flagship killer.

As reported earlier, the OnePlus 5 will be having an all-glass or ceramic chassis design in a full matte color. The said color and theme is said to be "Midnight Black." Moreover, the flagship killer rumored to be inspired by the success of its predecessor the OnePlus 3T. That's why it is said that the OnePlus 5 is said to continue the Colette edition of the OnePlus 3T on its black color variant which will give it a premium look.

OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 5.5 dual-curved edge AMOLED display which will be accompanied by an FHD 1080p display. Moreover, the upcoming smartphone is said to be pack a high capacity of RAM up to 6GB and a 64GB internal storage.

While on the optic side, OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup the flagship smartphone is going to feature a 23-megapixel rear view camera. On the front side OnePlus 5 will fit a 16-megapixel selfie camera in order to deliver the best ever shooting experience to the users.

According to India Today, OnePlus 5 is going to be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor, which is featured in the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the Snapdragon 835 SoC. Not only the OnePlus 5, the next Xiaomi flagship - Xiaomi Mi 6 is also likely to have the latest processor. Under the hood iPhone Killer is rumored to have a large 4000mAh with USB Type-C connector and Dash Charge Feature. The forthcoming OnePlus flagship will come packed with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.

As per the source, OnePlus 5 is speculated to hit the market in the second quarter of this year. The 64GB version of the flagship would costs US$439 while the 128GB Model might costs US$479.
