There is no certainty for now on what to expect from the iPhone 8. While previous reports claim that there will be three devices happening later this year, standing out is the redesigned device sporting a 5.8-inch OLED display screen along with advanced features which include wireless charging and a 3D-sensing front camera.
Speaking of display, the bezel-less frame begs to ask where some features such as the Touch ID will be on the iPhone 8. There are claims that it may be integrated somewhere below the display glass though that could be too advanced. A reasonable point could see the Touch ID sensor relocated at the rear of the iPhone 8 according to iDropNews. They claim to have seen the prototype of the upcoming iPhone 8.
If this is indeed the case, it follows the lead of other smartphones out in the market. Most have placed the fingerprint sensor at the back part, a more plausible location than hoping for a new kind of front display technology. It may likely be placed somewhere below the Apple logo at the back.
Aside from that, there are suggestions of a new name for the iPhone 8. It could be renamed to the iPhone Edition, a new term after the proposed iPhone Pro name. 9to5 Mac cautions that iDropNews credibility is a bit suspect meaning most may want to take this as nothing more than a grain of salt.
More iPhone 8-related jobs are expected in the coming months, hopefully, credible or official. Per previous reports here on Droid Report, the lone iPhone 8 will be joined by an iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. These will continue to spot the old TFT-LCD screen with advanced improvements expected internally. The iPhone 8 is expected to carry a hefty price, seeing that it is a redesigned device that most have been long wanting to come out.
