Huawei Mate 9 software update will improve the firmware version to MHA-L29C185B172 and has the amount of 511 download size. The upgrade is being pushed out via OTA (Out-The-Air) phase.
According to the change log, Huawei Mate 9 software update will deliver several performance optimizations and stability enhancements to the phablet. Furthermore, the renewal will also improve the touchscreen responsiveness and battery life.
Since the upgrade is a bit hefty, owners need to make sure that their Smartphone is sufficiently charged before proceeding to download and install the Huawei Mate 9 software update. This is the third time in a month when Huawei rolls out a new version, showing that the tech giant company has been committed to constantly renewing its Smartphone.
The previous two other firmware versions of Huawei Mate 9 software update were also featured with performance and stability enhancements. One of the renewals also brings in the Alexa support for the Mate 9 phone.
AndroidHeadlines gives out a report that Alexa, however, isn't available system-wide on the device as the AL-driven assistant is only accessible through Huawei Alexa app. This most likely means that unlike Google Assistant, Alexa can't be called forth via a simple touch on any screen and users have to access the Huawei app if they want to use Alexa.
The same report can be found in Androidauthority that Huawei Mate 9 software update will also fix few issues, including the Google Voice problem which occurred on a certain unknown carrier and group messaging enhancements. The new version of Huawei's android flagship has been rolling out in the US so far and will reach other regions in the upcoming days.
