A few months ago, the unlocked version of HTC 10 began receiving its Android Nougat update. And now it's time for the Verizon HTC 10 model to receive the latest OS update. The Vice President of HTC shared that the latest Android update for Verizon model will start rolling on Mar. 30 i.e. Thursday.
According to HTC's Mo Versi, who tweeted the latest updates coming from the company for the Verizon HTC 10 users. The tweet reads that the update has received technical approval and is ready for public consumption. The Vice President of HTC even apologized for rolling the update late for the Verizon HTC users.
It is very obvious that the company take some time for rolling out the latest update. Although the normal HTC 10 users had already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update, the Verizon model is yet to receive it. Sometimes, the carrier-branded Smartphone required extra testing when compared to unlocked models. This is the reason that Verizon HTC 10 users are yet to receive it.
Besides, the good news for the Verizon HTC 10's Nougat update is that it is finally available for almost every device. If you have got an HTC 10 on Verizon, then you must need to keep an eye out for your Nougat update. You will probably receive the update later this week.
Apart from Verizon HTC 10, the other US Carriers including Sprint, T-Mobile have already rolled out the update. The HTC 10 units from Sprint got their latest update last month, while those on the Magenta carrier got Android Nougat early in January. Besides, unlocked units of HTC 10 already received Nougat back in November 2016.
