Apple iOS 10.3 has recently released yesterday, users who have already upgraded were having some confusions. But one thing is important; Apple's iOS 10.3 offers a nasty surprise for everyone. Nasty surprises and great secret features were columned in its investigating operating system updates for the best features and biggest problems hidden behind its headlines.
According to Forbes, the upgrade to iOS 10.3 will be unusually slow in which the update itself is only around 600MB but installation process can be excruciating. It was stated that Apple iPad Air 2 took around 50 minutes, so iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C users might as well go watch a movie and came back in installing the iOS update.
Patience is all that's required, but when install times are so slow it means that progress bar can appear stationary. According to Apple Insider, Apple Support recommends user's to not panic and forcibly halt the upgrade thinking it has crashed; this can cause internal damage to the device.
Apple's iOS 10.3 installs so slowly because it gives up a sizeable chunk of the users time by installing it to every consumers iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch in which it introduces an entirely new file system; simply called Apple File System (APFS). It replaces the previous HFS+ and will roll out across watchOS, macOSm, and tvOS as well. Aside from all benefits like SSD optimization, cross-platform full disk, individual file encryption, and improved backups; users will also find that APFS can free up storage space.
In addition to the updating iOS 10.3, the features still require installing a carrier settings update to be enabled. Consumer's devices should prompt to install the carrier setting update; just go to your Setting, then tap General and then Software Update. However, features might be limited to certain iPhone models, so check it now.
