Mar 29, 2017 03:15 AM EDT

The Samsung Galaxy S8 launch event lives streaming will be happening within a few hours from now in New York, and you can watch it online no matter where you are in the world. For Samsung, the stakes are huge, after the Galaxy Note 7 battery fire failures, this is an opportunity for the company to show off its comeback phone, and it pretty much has to be a home run.

Samsung is officially going to unveil its next flagship Galaxy S8 at an event in New York at 11 am EDT (8.30 pm IST) today. The Samsung Galaxy S8 launch YouTube video will also roll out at 8:00 Pacific, 16:00 BST in the UK and 2:00 AM AEST in Australia.

The Galaxy "UNPACKED 2017" will be live streamed on the company's official website here. There is even an app for iOS and Android for those who are interested to know more about the phone's specification and details instantly. Samsung Mobile YouTube channel will also be having a live stream of the event

However, you don't need to worry if you tune in late or miss it completely. Samsung generally builds up its phone launches, with the big revealing toward the middle of the duration. It's also possible to have a Samsung Galaxy S8 launch video replay on its YouTube channel just after the live event concludes.

According to Deccan Chronicle, based on the set of rumors leaked in the past few months the Galaxy S8 smartphone will be unveiled in two models; a standard version sporting a 5.2-inch display, and a bigger variant, Galaxy S8 Plus, with a 6.2-inch display, both featuring Samsung's 'edge' display. Both the models will be powered by either Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 processor and coupled with 4GB RAM. Devices will boast 64GB of storage, which could further be expanded using a microSD card. Samsung Galaxy S8 will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and equipped with iris scanner technology.
