A certain line of code has helped reveal that Apple is indeed bringing out a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro this year after reports revealed that it would also support faster refresh rates. Earlier, it was believed that Apple was working on a smaller replacement to the existent 12.9-inch iPad Pro which didn't suit everyone's liking. As usual, Apple likes to keep everything under closed doors.
Hence, it was just assumed to be a rumor. Now, details from 9To5Mac believe that an app developer by the name of Steve Troughton-Smith has brought out images revealing the code to support his claim that the new iPad Pro with a size of 10.5-inch will likely be introduced at this year's launch event. Apple has already introduced a non-pro 9.7-inch iPad at a lower price than usual.
Meanwhile, WCCFTech believes that Apple might have accidentally leaked the new iPad themselves also citing the same claim from the app developer who discovered the code in the beta test phase for iOS 10.3. At the moment, there are no details about all the possible hardware specifications likely making it into the new iPad.
That said, Steve points out that the future iPads will be able to render frame rates faster than 60 frames per second and also claimed that the operating system would allow developers to make use of it and let them run their apps at variable frame rates. If things continue as such, there'll likely be no changes in the hardware department considering the recent iPad 2017 release.
There are other rumors pointing towards Apple alleging that there would be a new addition to the iPad Mini line-up with the potential announcement of iPad mini 5. The same report also claimed that Apple iPad Air series were all but buried down which is now proved to be true with the new iPad 2017 replacing the obsolete iPad Air 2.
