Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Excels In Its Display

With the release of the new Galaxy Tab S3 tablet, Samsung is now firm on increasing their competition with their rivals Apple. The Galaxy Tab S3 is supposedly a direct competitor for the iPad Pro 9.7-inch variant from the Cupertino firm. That said, the new tablet from Samsung has its fair share of disappointment which shouldn't be too concerning for the public since it doesn't affect its overall performance in any way.

The Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a display resolution of 2048 px X 1536 px with a premium Snapdragon chipset, 32GB of internal storage, fingerprint scanner and also an S-Pen alongside other additions to the new tablet. Reviews from various sources have highly praised the display on the tablet which can be too bright under certain conditions. A review from The Verge criticized the camera department claiming that most of the images turned out to be soft.

Apart from that, the Galaxy Tab S3 has its audio speakers positioned on all four sides of the tablet, something similar to its competitor. The positioning actually affects the audio output possibly moving away from the listener as noted from the review. Thankfully, unlike Apple, Samsung has offered their S-pen part of the package instead of charging a separate price for it.

That said, another review from ZDNet believed that in spite of having the best-in-class hardware, the Android play store lacks severely in offering some dedicated tablet apps that can actually utilize all the features provided by the South Korean manufacturer. The keyboard case that costs an additional price of $130 is too cramped up is also very uncomfortable for a decent typing experience.

While Samsung has done their best to bring out new additions like smart connectors for the Galaxy Tab S3 and also a USB Type-C reversible connector port, the lack of apps is seriously concerning for potential buyers since a lot of apps aren't really optimized for tablet viewing experience. That said, the Tab S3 can be considered an Android alternative to the iPad Pro for those who decide to stick with the Android ecosystem.
