3 Ways Samsung’s Newborn Bixby Will Overtake Apple’s 6-Year-Old Siri

The countdown to Samsung Galaxy S8 launch has begun and the smartphone fans are desperately waiting to check out some cool features of the device. One of the most innovative features that Samsung's upcoming device will bring is Bixby. Bixby, Samsung's latest digital assistant, has already made its debut prior to the Galaxy S8 launch.

With the current digital assistants and artificial intelligent, Bixby holds a top place due to it's out of the box concept. The smart digital assistant is offering a tough competition to Apple's Siri and Google AI for its features never seen before on a mobile device.

Bixby sounds like an intuitive piece of software that helps you to learn and provide an all-around personalized assistant experience. Some of the iPhone users even speculated that it would blow Apple's Siri out of the water because of its rich app integration and human-like conversation.  Although the company's official press release did not describe the software in detail, the features expected from Bixby are far beyond Apple's Siri.

Bixby is not just an artificially intelligent assistant that provides you results by browsing search engines. Other AIs like Siri and Google deliver results that are based on the search engine information. But Bixby is a step ahead of those AIs. Bixby has different features that are designed to provide an unmatched experience for the users.

Bixby is a part of the device's internal UI. It can operate the device just like the users do that is through voice input as well as through touch input. Samsung's latest digital assistant has properties like cognitive tolerance, which means that the AI can understand incomplete commands. It can also ask for touch or voice input only if she's unable to complete the process for any task.

On the other hand, Siri lacks a great deal in terms of ability to navigate within apps and execute commands. It has limited set of actions that it can actually carry out in an app. Even though Siri is six years older than Samsung's latest AI, Apple has not done much to improve the software to interact with apps, as per PhoneArena.

Samsung's VP of Software and Services stated that "Bixby will evolve from a smartphone interface to an interface for your life." Samsung has said it has every intention to release a tool to allow third party developers to make their applications and services Bixby-enabled. Let's hope Bixby to fill the high expectations of next-generation smartphone users.
