Taiwanese electronics manufacturer HTC had a fantastic result with their 'Vive' virtual reality headset even overtaking their nearest competitors Oculus, that's backed by social media giants Facebook. While virtual reality headsets demand a powerful desktop/laptop to function at their peak, HTC Vive still continues to be sold frequently highlighting the enthusiasm for all tech lovers.

HTC has now announced a new tool called 'MakeVR' that apparently is created to make use of virtual reality to create 3D modeling for VR with the help of its controllers and connectors. Their new tool was launched yesterday in collaboration with Sixense. Sixense happens to be a private group of engineers and experts in the field of virtual reality and 3D modeling.

While it's not at an affordable price for all consumers, Technable reports that NASA and BMW feel that VR headsets help them with training and design. With the addition of the MakeVR tool, it will only help them with a better experience in the virtual environment.

A detailed report from Engadget revealed the working procedure of MakeVR which reportedly uses the headset controllers and the new tracker to develop freeform modeling and design. The app interface is built to look like a studio with the help of the controllers. The company said that the tool can be used by anybody irrespective of age and skill level to come out with their projects on the intuitive touch interface.

A video brief showcasing an artist highlighted his creation of a cartoon's details who then exported the files to a 3D printer. HTC feels that the MakeVR tool with the help of the Vive controller will supposedly be a better combination than a mouse and a keyboard. The report also revealed that HTC plans to bring out a more power  'Pro' variant of the tool for app rice of $20 on Viewport, sometime this year.
