Most consumer electronics geeks continue to wait on the coming of a Microsoft Surface Phone, something that CEO Satya Nadella had hinted would be happening. There was no specific time on when it would come out and most are eagerly keeping tabs.
Right now the patents and specs have been coming out, ones that could be carried by the Microsoft Surface phone. The latest one involves a hinged display, something most have seen with the Surface Pro line already, Forbes reported.
With the Microsoft patent on the hinged display, a foldable mobile solution comes to mind. Seeing the popularity of the laplet, the Redmond company hardly needs to lift a finger to make the Microsoft Surface Phone great. Other than that, some question how powerful the Surface phone would be. How will the device fare when it comes to performance in the event that it was designed to function like a CPU? There are obviously a lot of questions that need to be answered and those are expected to pile up until consumers actually see a Microsoft Surface Phone.
Microsoft’s Surface series have already laid down the framework for the Surface phone. Much of the speculated features have been taken from it except for the detachable keyboard of course. Summing up the things in the grapevine, the Surface Phone believed to sport an all-metal design, sport a 5.7-inch screen and run on possibly a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset according to Trusted Reviews. Other specs will vary, including RAM and storage.
It will make use of Windows 10 Mobile with most hoping there would be sufficient apps available from the Microsoft Store. Vague as the details may be, for now, criticism should be left out for now until the device does become a reality.
