Wit Studios just released a new trailer for “Attack on Titan” Season 2. The trailer shows a definite evolution in the titanic creatures, including a wider variety of the very large humanoids in an invasion of populous areas of the countryside. They would morph into gruesome giants who would snack on defenseless villagers.

But the teasers indicate some of the Titans would shift loyalties and help the Survey Corps in struggling for survival, Blaster reports. Fans of “Attack on Titan” Season 2 should expect a lot of booming cannons, chucking horses, slinging arrows and munching of bones. According to the anime’s synopsis, Eren Jaeger would have new powers that he would use to fight for freedom of humanity from the threat that comes from the monsters.

When “Attack on Titan” Season 2 begins on April 1 on Funimation, spoilers state the story would continue beyond the events in Chapter 34 of the manga, Inverse reports. The Survey Corps would meet the Beast Titan which, it turns out, is Zeke Yeager, the elder stepbrother of Eren. In the last season of the anime, the Beast Titan was introduced. Through a crack on the Wall Rose, his face was seen as his eyes peeped.

Like Eren, the beast would be a shapeshifter which members of the Survey Corps would discover when they talk to the Beast Titan in “Attack on Titan” Season 2. The Survey Corps would also find out that more humans possess Eren’s ability to transform into Titans as they start investigating the royal family that constructed the walls of the city 100 years ago.

By April 1, fans of “Attack on Titan” Season 2 would end almost three years of waiting after 25 episodes of Season 1, Bloody-Disgusting notes. Spoilers from Araki Tetsuro and Koizuka Masashi, directors of the anime series, say more information on the new characters, such as Freida, Rod and Uri of the Reiss family would be given, while the life of Captain Kenny Ackerman would also be featured.
