The Water Festival for “Pokemon Go” has been going smoothly so far though there are only a couple of days left to snag the water-type critters. The event kicked off last March 22 and will end on March 29. This means augmented reality gamers only have a couple of days left to add the golden Magikarp and the red Gyarados.
Both are rare pocket monsters that “Pokemon Go” players should take advantage of. Both are unusual treats and actually open the doors for the entry of “shiny” pocket monsters, Forbes reported. For those wondering why it would be wise to get hold of these critters, they appear only once after every 4,000 Pokemon encountered.
Aside from Magikarp and Gyarados, another water-type critter that “Pokemon Go” players should keep an eye out is Lapras. While some may already have the Pokemon in the PokeDex, adding another with possibly better stats is a possibility. For those who have not yet captured Lapras, this is the best time as any to get one, particularly for the ones looking for a reliable Pokemon to use in gyms and battles.
Aside from the three Pokemon critters, “Pokemon Go” players should expect the increased spawns of other water-type critters. This would include Squirtle and Totodile, both part of the celebrated Water Festival for “Pokemon Go” according to Adweek.
The “Pokemon Go” Water Festival is the latest update that has kept AR gamers busy since the release of “Pokemon Go” Gen 2. That last patch paved the way for the entry of 80 Pokemon from the Johto region from Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver. Add that and the current hunt for the water-type critters, one can imagine how avid “Pokemon Go” players have their work cut out for them. More updates are expected to follow such as “Pokemon Go” trading and a player vs. player feature which Niantic CEO John Hanke previously teased.
