Blizzard Entertainment has been stapled in competitive gaming and esports for almost two decades. Recently Blizzard Entertainment will re-release the original "StarCraft" and "StarCraft: Blood War" as a high-definition remake to be known as "StarCraft: Remastered." Blizzard Entertainment Mike Morhaime claimed the announcement during the company's I <3 StarCraft event in Seoul, Korea.
"StarCraft: Remastered" will bring the classic real-time strategic game in the campaign and a multiplayer mode which is now updated for 4 K UHD resolutions. This "StarCraft: Remastered" will also feature StarCraft's original soundtrack along with its rejuvenated and re-recorded dialogue as well as revamped briefings between every mission.
According to Polygon, "StarCraft: Remastered" will be having an excellent remastered visual as the company claimed that players will be able to experience the zoom out for a Battlecruiser's view of the battlefield as well as the zoom in to see the veins on a Mutalisk's wings.
"Starcraft: Remastered" will be a pure distillation of Blizzard's DNA including its original story, balance, and all the little important details that reflect their long-running commitment for epic entertainment. The game will be modernized the original game's visual effects, audio, and online support to assure that players can experience lifetime adventure for another 20 years and beyond.
As noted by PC Gamer, there are other enhancements packed in "StarCraft: Remastered" which includes the advanced matchmaking, full connectivity to Blizzard's gaming network in terms of social features and updates, cloud saving for any campaign progress, replays, key binds, supported by 13 languages, and custom maps.
The "StarCraft: Remastered" will come to Windows PC and Mac this year's summer. By the way, the original "StarCraft" was released since 1998 in Windows PC, followed by an expansion called "StarCraft: Blood War later that year, and released a sequel StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty last 2010.
