Samsung company mobile chief DJ Koh has confirmed already that the company is bringing back its Note series smartphone in the form of Galaxy Note 8. Koh also claims that it will be "better, better, safer and very innovative." Now rumors surrounding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8 have started to running rampant online.
According to the Chinese site Slashleaks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be a 6.4-inch phablet which will sport a Super AMOLED display with 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels). The upcoming handset will be having the same dual edge curved display as we saw on Galaxy S7 edge and which is currently rumoured for upcoming Galaxy S8 series smartphones.
Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, according to leaked specifications, is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. This doesn't come as a surprise as Korean technology giant is rumoured to be hoarding Snapdragon 835 chipsets for its upcoming premium Galaxy S8 smartphones, as noted by Indian Express.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will also be sporting 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of expandable internal storage. As we have seen 6GB RAM on several smartphones like OnePlus 3, LeMax 2 and Samsung's own C6 Pro, the 256GB internal storage rumors is advised to be taken with a pinch of salt, according to NDTV.
In terms of design, Samsung Galaxy Note 8's schematic drawing has revealed the absence of home button. The front camera sensor along with an iris sensor seems to be present on top, while the bottom will house the speaker. As per the sketch one of the sides has volume rocker buttons also a dedicated button to launch Bixby. There's a slot to keep S-Pen, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom and SIM card slot on the top. Since this is a leaked schematic, so it shouldn't be taken as confirmation of anything.
All of this is just early rumours, and Samsung is most probably far off from finalising things on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 yet. For now, Samsung is focused on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus which are set to launch at the company's Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event on March 29 in New York.
