The new budget-friendly smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi 4A, produced by the Chinese technology company has been launched in India at Rs 5,999. Fans are delighted that the new device will not be placing too much weight on their pockets.
According to reports, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone will be available for purchase from March 23 on Amazon as well as the tech company's e-commerce platform, Mi.com. Potential buyers of the new device will be able to pre-order the Xiaomi Redmi 4A soon, and pre-order will remain open even if the device is out of stock.
According to Indian Express, the new Xiaomi Redmi 4A feature three color variants, which includes Dark gray, Gold and Rose Gold. However, the report noted that the Rose color variant of the new device will not be available until April 6.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the tech company's second big smartphone that is launched for India this year, since Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 in three variants last January in India. The new smartphone features a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with HD resolution (720p) paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor.
It also has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, as well as microSD slot. The rear camera Xiaomi Redmi 4A is 13-MP, while the front camera is 5MP accompanied by a single LED flash, according to BGR. The report also stated that the device also features a 3120mAh battery and runs on Android Marshmallow along with MIUI 8. In addition, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A has a polycarbonate body, which is unlike Xiaomi's Redmi 3S series that features a metal unibody design.
The tech company released the Redmi Note 4 smartphone with three different price tags as the Redmi Note 4 that features 2GB RAM and 32GB storage was sold at Rs 9,999. While the another variant of the Redmi Note 4 which has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage was sold at Rs 10,999, a third variant which features 4GB RAM and 64GB storage was sold at Rs 12,999.
According to reports, the developer has opened a new manufacturing unit in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with Foxconn. Xiaomi noted that the two manufacturing plants employed 5,000 people that comprise mostly of women and that fans should expect to see the successor of Redmi 3S smartphone very soon.
