In a slide of announcements recently Apple has unveiled a new 9.7-inch iPad, replacing the iPad Air 2. The new tablet will be joining the iPad Mini 4 and the two iPad Pro models. The new iPad is the most affordable iPad the company has ever created. It is officially known as the 5th-generation iPad which follows in the footsteps of the 4th generation model which was released before the iPad Air.

The company plans to start selling the iPad from today March 24 and the said device is already receiving high praise for its amazing specs and affordable price which is $329 for the 32 GB variant and $429 for the 128 GB variant. Wi-Fi + Cellular models are also available that costs of $459 and $559.

According to Forbes, one of the great strengths of the iPad range is its battery life and while that hasn't changed in many years, the iPad 9.7 keeps its end up by also toting a familiar 10-hour battery life. There are no other accompaniments like fast charging or wireless charging, but the aim of an iPad is you shouldn't need to charge it often in any case.

Many reports right now are comparing the iPad to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and iPad Air 2. Some claim that it really is a great buy, considering its retail price and specifications. However if one were to focus on specs alone, which iPad offers the best. There are several significant reasons identified as to why the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is better than iPad Air 2 and new iPad Pro.

The very first reason is in terms of the display; all three devices feature a 9.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536, a 264 ppi and fully laminated. However, only the iPad Pro and iPad Air 2 features an antireflection display. The iPad Pro has more extra features such as wide color gamut and True-tone in its display, as per GSM Arena.

Next reason is the internal storage. The iPad Air 2 features 16/32/64/128 GB with 2 GB of RAM, while the iPad features 32/128 GB with 2 GB of RAM. On the iPad Pro, it features 32/128/256 GB with 2 GB of RAM. Since none of these devices has an expandable memory option, the 256 GB variant under the iPad Pro makes it more commanding.

The third reason is the camera specifications. The iPad Air 2 features an 8 MP rear camera (f/2.4) capable of recording 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 120fps, and a 1.2 MP front camera (f/2.2) that shoots 720p at 30fps. In the mean time, the iPad features an 8 MP rear camera (f/2.4) which records 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 120fps, and a 1.2 MP front camera (f/2.2) that shoots 720p at 30fps.

On the iPad Pro side, it sports a 12 MP camera (f/2.2) on its backs which is capable of recording 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 30/60fps, 1080p at 120fps and 720p at 240fps. On the front, it has a 5 MP camera (f/2.2) that shoots 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 240fps.
