'Titanfall 2' To Receive a DLC Next Week; 'Free' Weekend Announced

Respawn entertainment has announced that "Titanfall 2", their new FPS release will receive a new major DLC the coming week. The new update brings in a lot of new features alongside additions to its game content and in-game weapons. The developers also mentioned that their new title will be available for gameplay free of cost for a limited period of time.

Alongside the major additions to the game, "Titanfall 2" will be getting a new add-on called 'Colony reborn' that will be offered free for all existing owners. For those people who've played Titanfall, the map Colony is actually borrowed from the game's first sequel that will return to the new game part of the new update. Reports from GameSpot revealed that the new DLC will be launching on all platforms, on Mar. 30 this year.

There are a good number of additions to the game's weapon inventory with a new gun, R-101 also from being moved from "Titanfall". Players will now be able to slay their opponents in an amazing fashion thanks to the introduction of 'Curb Check', a new move that kills enemies in a unique style. Respawn in their website stated that "Titanfall 2" will be available to the public as a 'free-to-play' multiplayer weekend from Mar. 30 through Apr. 03. The free to play event will unlock all content including the single player campaign and the Gauntlet training missions.

Going to Titanfall's official website, all players will receive 2x XP during the entirety of the free multiplayer weekend. The major update to the game is the new map alongside the R-101 weapon that comes with the AOCG scope. Meanwhile, the new execution style 'Curb check' seems to be offered on a paid basis that will let users customize their pilot with new cosmetics.

As usual, bug fixes, balance in gameplay at certain stages are also fixed part of the new update. Detailed patch notes are expected to be released sometime before the launch.
