The new Red iPhone 7 is proving to be a huge success in China. In fact, over 350,000 buyers have shown their interest and have registered their names. However, this registration doesn't hold as pre-orders for the product. These aren't termed as (PRODUCT) RED and definitely, makes no point for charity.

According to Fortune, Apple has recently dropped the latest iPhone going along with their {PRODUCT) RED lineup that the tech giant promotes. The tech giant promotes the (PRODUCT) RED lineup as a means to support HIV/AIDS charity (RED).

The iPhone 7 comes with 128 GB storage and as of now, there is no news about a 32 GB storage soon enough. For 128 GB the price comes to CNY 6,188 and for the 256 GB version, the price comes to CNY 6,988. Coming to Red iPhone 7 plus models, the price ranges from CNY 7,188 to CNY 7,988.

The tech giant's China retail page has listed the latest iPhone 7 without branding (PRODUCT) RED. It also suggested that the device would be available as another color option in China. Till now, Apple's China retail page has been promoting the iPhone 7 as its own color and doesn't mention about the (PRODUCT) RED as well as the initiative.

Apple has unveiled the latest Red iPhone 7 on Tuesday. Interestingly, the device has the same features and components as other iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models. The only new inclusion is the red backplate. It is the part of the tech biggie's (PRODUCT) RED line of devices. The devices usually come in red color to show its fight against AIDS.

However, sex remains a controversial subject in China. So, to avoid any tension with the government, apple might have decided to skip (PRODUCT) RED affiliation in China, MacRumors reported.

With each of the (PRODUCT) RED line of devices, Apple donates an unidentified portion of the sale to the Global Fund. The main idea behind the charity is to help agencies eradicate AIDS from around the world. Even though the tech giant has taken up the charity in a big way, it has not responded as for why it dropped the (PRODUCT) RED lineup in China.
