OnePlus has announced a new program named the 'MP Early Access Program.' This is a very limited program and only opens to the owners of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, as it is designed to limit the effect of bugs on future releases of OxygenOS.
The announced the program was made by the company on its forum. The MP Early Access Program is the third community-based pre-release testing program. Previously, users could apply for the Closed Beta and Open Beta programs to help the OnePlus test OxygenOS updates before it releases to all users.
According to NDTV, MP Early Access Program users will receive the OxygenOS release candidate as an OTA. After this, who have got the program will then is expected to provide feedback to the company, with the hopes to "catch any last minute bugs or weird usage/ location errors before the build is given to everyone in the OTA."
To get the OnePlus MP Early Access Program eligibility requirements are similar to the Closed Beta program, and selected users will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and will have to communicate with the OnePlus team via the Slack messaging service. Requirements include: users will need to be based in the US, EU, or India, have had some kind of testing experience in the past, and be willing to continually communicate and give feedback with OnePlus in Slack.
OnePlus is not the only smartphone maker who has pushed a new release only to have to pull. This new testing phase is meant to make sure that users are getting official builds that are more stable and have fewer issues, as per Beta News.
So those who are interested in signing up for the OnePlus MP Early Access Program and they meet the eligibility requirements, can sign up on this Google Forms page. You should also note that OnePlus says that only 150 users will be accepted in the MP Early Access Program.
