‘Pokemon Go’ News & Update: First Shiny Pokemon Arrives In Game Through New Water Event

"Pokemon Go" New Water event started on March 22, 2017 and an event has been full of surprises. It brings the latest Shiny Pokemon for the gamers. However, the shiny creature is none other than the beloved and useless Magikarp.

Since the Magikarp has been termed as shiny, it appears in a golden color rather than its usual orange color. Once evolved this "Pokemon Go" creature can turn into shiny red Gyarados. However, the player needs to have 40,000 Magikarp candies for that.

In the main "Pokemon Go" game, these shiny creatures are usually rare. For instance, there are about one shiny creature in 4000 monsters that come in special colors.

As of now the "Pokemon Go" experts have no idea how common these shiny Magikarp would be during the event or when the other creatures would also be available in shiny colors. Nonetheless the players can assume that even if the other creatures are available in shiny color they would also be difficult to find.

Earlier, several rumors suggested that shiny creatures were on its way in "Pokemon Go" Water event. Also, a shiny creature appeared in "Pokemon Go" APK suggesting it would soon be out for the main game. According to Forbes, these creatures first in the franchise with Red Gyarados in Pokemon Gold/ Silver.

The shiny "Pokemon Go" creatures fit the game perfectly since they don't have a role in combat or anything similar. These act as rare creatures that adds to the game and that's what makes the game interesting. As of now, the shiny Pokemon creatures haven't been announced officially.

The creatures in "Pokemon Go" gives people the chance to collect rare treasure. Apart from this, it gives a new designation that can keep the gamers hunting for new creatures after they have filled their Pokedexes Express reported.

There is a 'Shiny Captured' variant, while others have a 'Seen' and 'captured' variant. Even though neither Niantic nor Nintendo has confirmed, the shiny "Pokemon Go" creatures appear quite differently on the world map.
