Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs are quite similar to Snapdragon 821, with only some enhancements. The Snapdragon 821 uses four cores, all of them fully custom while the Snapdragon 835 has eight cores.
Most of the cores in Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs are ARM-based, which divided into four modified Cortex-A73s serves as the big cluster and four unmodified A53s works as the small cluster. The four additional cores should boost multi-core performance, as reported by GSMArena.
The results of Snapdragon 835 synthetic CPU and GPU test by Geekbench and GFXBench show that the chipset performance is at the top of the list. The Geekbench CPU test shows a ~58% increase in multi-core CPU performance over the Snapdragon 821 (4089 points) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs obtained an outstanding result (6461 points).
While in the single-core test, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs enhancement is still good, but less impressive. The chipset only scores 2059 points which ~25.7% faster than the Snapdragon 821 (1638 points).
The GFXBench's GPU test shows that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs with 1513 points ~31.79% faster than the Snapdragon 821 that scored only 1148 points. This is quite an achievement in GPU performance between the Snapdragon generations.
In single-thread (single-core) performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs are clearly the fastest processor on Android and tablet. However, Apple still leads in the single core performance by an impressive margin.
According to PhoneArena, AnTuTu complex System test reveals that Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs got a high score about ~32.5% higher than the Snapdragon 821 that only achieves 137,290 points. The AnTuTu scoring result makes consumers have a high expectation on Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S8 that will feature this chipset.
The same report can be found in Ubergizmo that most of the tests above only emphasize the CPU and GPU performances, however, the scoring outcome shouldn't limit other powerful units that Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs boast. Besides the amazing CPU and GPU ability, the chipset has ISP (Image Signal Processor), DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and other vector processors support that contribute in a large way in the real world.
The graphics performance in Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs is also remarkable, creating a significant outcome in the OpenGL 3.1 API graphic test. Basic Smartphone usage, clever AI algorithms, VR games, 4K videos, and 3D games that required a high framerates will be a breeze with this potential chipset.
