OnePlus 3T in Midnight Black for US & Europe; How to Get Limited Edition OnePlus 3T in Midnight Black Quickly

Mar 23, 2017 08:03 AM EDT

OnePlus has introduced an all news Midnight Black color variant of its popular flagship-killer OnePlus 3T. OnePlus took the wraps off the Midnight Black OnePlus 3T, which, like the Colette edition, is also a limited edition phone. Unlike Colette edition model, OnePlus fans will have a better chance of getting this one, as there will be more units offered and they will be easily available.

According to OnePlus, this all-black finish model was chosen after testing 30 different variations. It will at first be available in a limited run of 250 models, just like the special edition, which has launched recently in partnership with Collette in Paris.

To be one of the first to get hands on Midnight black OnePlus 3T, you need to head to the Hypebeast listing at 4 p.m. GMT on Mar. 24 and hope you're among the first 250 customers to get the $479/€479/£439 phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

However, the phone will be gone if you aren't fast enough and they could sell out before you make it to the product listing. But you don't have to feel sad for it as there will still be a chance to get it soon.

OnePlus says that you will be able to buy the Midnight Black version of OnePlus 3T from its own online store at some point in the future in the US and Europe, though that will also be just for a limited time. But you should better keep an eye on OnePlus' online store for when the Midnight Black OnePlus 3T edition is available there. Meanwhile, O2 will also be stocking the limited edition phone in the UK from Mar. 28, with new plans starting at £32 per month, as per Pocket-lint.

OnePlus applies three 14-micron thick dark coatings, which is thin enough to maintain the natural metallic look and feel of the solid aluminum body to make the new color. After being coated, the OnePlus 3T goes through two sandblasting sessions to give it that reflective quality.

At last, a thin protective layer is applied on the device to discourage excessive fingerprint smudges. If it's as good as OnePlus claims, then this should be enough to keep it looking new for a long time.
