Latest reports claim that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will change all that as it will be made cheaper and simpler once it is ready for deployment. If everything goes according to schedule, that could happen by the end March or early April.

The device will inadvertently end up simpler and cheaper. With the iterations, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 will reportedly be offered at an introductory price of $1,000.

Aside from that, an improved Surface Pen and battery are expected for the portable device.

The $1,000 intro price for the Microsoft Surface Book 2 seems more than reasonable with Apple likely keeping track. The Cupertino has been getting criticized for its underpowered MacBook with most considering a shift to Windows 10.
