It seems like AMD is ready to reveal its latest processor which might turn out to be an ace up its sleeve. The microprocessor business enterprise is looking forward to its new AMD Ryzen series processor which is being aimed towards the luxury desktop segment.

Sources note that the upcoming AMD Ryzen processor is fixated for high-end computers (HEDT). Reports suggest that AMD may introduce the latest processor at Computex conference 2017. By the looks of it, AMD plans on carving out a niche with the product so that it can be more diversified, suiting the needs of expensive computers. In addition, the upcoming Ryzen series processor is all set to level with Intel's rumored Core i7 processor that uses the latest X399 chipset, as cited by Tweak Town.

For now, Intel's Core i7-6950X is currently available in the market, which is also outperforming Ryzen 1800X as seen through various benchmark tests. This makes it inevitable for AMD to bring out a processor chip that will surpass Intel.

As noted by Forbes, the new AMD Ryzen processor is powered by 32 threads and 16 cores which are reportedly more than Intel Core i7-6950X's 20 threads and 10 cores. However, competitive aspects do not end right here for Intel as the upcoming AMD Ryzen processor is noted to offer a price tag within $1000, which is quite less than Intel Core i7-6950X's $1700 price tag. Surely, drastic times call for drastic measures so Intel needs to figure something out soon.

The upcoming AMD Ryzen processor is certainly causing a stir. But, whether higher cores and threads offered at a lower price tag are enough to support high-end PCs is yet to be seen. For now, we can wait for Computex conference 2017 to arrive in later months. Stay tuned for more updates on the processor.
