Apple Announces New 9.7 inch iPad, Red iPhone 7 & 7 Plus; Here’s What You Need To Know

Apple may not have an event announcing its latest products, but it ensured the everyone has an eventful morning. Even though it had announced some products, as per rumors there are other products in the pipeline.

As of now, people are aware that Apple would pre-announce the upcoming products while the Apple Online Store remains down for few hours due to maintenance. However, the customers who waited eagerly for iPad Pro 2 was a little disappointed.

The customers received the first surprise in the form of Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus 9TO5Mac reported. The product appeared right after the online store started functioning putting an end to all rumors about this phone. The Red iPhone 7 would come in 128 GB and iPhone 7 Plus would come in as 256 GB. Along with this, Apple also announced six new iPhone case colors.

According to MacRumors, the iPad as Apple has named it comes with a 9.7-inch screen size was also a part of the surprise announcement. This new iPad replaces the old iPad Air 2. Even though it skips the Air name it retains its looks. The iPad is thicker and heavier than iPad Air 2.

Interestingly, 12.9 inch Apple iPad Pro and 9.7-inch iPad Pro remain as the flagship devices. However, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2 and 10.5 inch iPad are two rumored products expected to be under works. The customers now need to wait to see which four of the device identifiers belong to the latest iPad.

Apart from iPad and Red iPhone 7, Apple also announced about Apple Watch updates. Interestingly, this update would be in the form of bands. These include Classic Buckle, Woven Nylon band, Sports Band. The Classic Buckle is would get a second redesign and new colors, the Sports Band would be available in three colors.

As of now, MacBook Pro looks in good shape, but the rest of Mac's products are updating. This means Apple might come up with several announcements and new iPads soon. Even though the Spring announcements have been minor this year, however, Apple's portfolio doesn't say so.
