Google is planning something big just like other smartphone companies are doing. Rumors are floating around the internet regarding their upcoming flagship, which is the Google Pixel XXL. The upcoming smartphone is codenamed "taimen" and will be a third Pixel device in the works from Google.

According to Droid Life, the upcoming flagship is codenamed "taimen." In addition, "walleye" and "muskie" are the internal codenames for the upcoming devices, the same source says. "Taimen" is a phone as confirmed, so this will not be any notebook or any tablet device.

Fish code names referring to each of the devices' sizes

The previously mentioned codenames, "walleye" and "muskie" are said to be a refreshed version of the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, according to Tomsguide. However, the other one that is codenamed "Taimen" will be a larger than the two mentioned, considering that it is also a larger fish breed.

Although, Google remained silent about the leaks and the expectations going on. It is also expected that the upcoming and expected Google Pixel XXL will have a slight improvement and enhancements compared to its previous versions and predecessors.

Design and smartphone size

Another leak reveals the design of the Google Pixel XXL in Forbes' report. Moreover, the smartphone is said to be bigger in size among all predecessors, which is said to be 6.2 inches display. Then again, these are just rumors and expectations with bases on the previous smartphones from Google. These are NOT yet official unless Google debunks or proves these rumors are true.

If Google could brighten up customers and fans with a reliable information coming from them, that would be helpful. For now, they should wait for further announcements or teasers that Google will release regarding the rumored Google Pixel XXL. The smartphone may catch up to the latest innovations such as the Android 7.0 Nougat, Snapdragon 835, and powerful batteries with quick charging. Time will tell when Google reveals another project to thirsty tech-enthusiasts.
