'Mass Effect: Andromeda' PC Patch Released: Sound, Keyboard Issues Addressed; More Details Here!

The developer of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has released a new patch for the PC version of the game, which addresses some major issues that players usually encounter when playing the game. The latest update is released ahead of the game's full release, which is scheduled to happen tomorrow.

According to reports, the new updates for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" particularly target issues with black screens, which is notably caused by a conflict with the Corsair Utility Engine. The Corsair Utility Engine is mostly used to manage certain Corsair accessories including keyboards, headsets, sound issues in multiplayer, and F-keys that are not functioning properly in multiplayer.

According to Gamespot, this is based on information gotten from producer Fernando Melo, who reportedly shared the details on Twitter. In addition, the report also stated that server-side fixes for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" as of yesterday were on the way to resolve issues of where certain Challenges cannot be completed.

Other reports have also revealed that players can be sure that one issue would probably not be resolved - the issues with regards to animation which have posed numerous problems and obstacles for players in the past few days - or at least, not on the launch day. It is reported that most of the issues that gamers have encountered with "Mass Effect: Andromeda" are due to getting the game through EA Access and Origin Access.

This is said to expose it to numerous bugs and animation gaffes. However, BioWare has noted the fixes for the latter will not be available at launch. According to Yahoo, BioWare has attracted widespread criticism over the past few months, for its awkward facial animations, strange character movements and lip-syncing issues in "Mass Effect: Andromeda."

The updates also reveal that a female developer who worked for EA, Allie Rose-Marie Leost, recently became the target of a harassment campaign online. The developer received a threat of rape and death from individuals who blamed her for the "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" awful facial animations.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is now available in North America, Latin America but not in Brazil. The game is also available in Russia and South East Asia for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The developer is expected to release the game for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Brazil, Australia, Israel and New Zealand on Mar. 23.
