Recently, HTC's Taiwanese Facebook Page posted an image teasing with the message, "spring is here, HTC will give you an unexpected surprise." HTC fans were speculating that the company is spinning up its marketing campaign for a follow-up to its former flagship, HTC 10. But the reality is that the company will introduce a new Sapphire edition to its U Ultra series.
The Facebook post surprise for the consumer is that HTC will be launching a limited edition variant on the U Ultra with a sapphire glass screen and 128GB of storage. This is something tech freaks are expecting about, as CES early this year is reminding about the expensive version of a phone like the sapphire edition U Ultra.
HTC has put the limited edition version of U Ultra for pre-order in Taiwan for NT$ 28,000 which is approximate $946. The price of this special Sapphire edition of U Ultra is near $200 more than the standard version.
The screens of the expensive Sapphire U Ultra are very pretty and rare on a smartphone. The sapphire screen could have been enough of a distinguishing factor to make the sapphire edition U Ultra stand out from the standard device. But as the phone will fetch $950, there are plenty of options for the buyers to consider if they want a productive device.
The limited Sapphire edition U Ultra model is now available for customers. The dedicated HTC buyers can pre-order this exclusive piece of technology. The phone also comes in four different colors.
The customers who pre-order the 128GB U Ultra will also receive a $100 bundle that includes a leather flip case, a quick charge 3.0 power bank, and a key ring. Although, the company didn't share any additional details about the release for the rest of the world, the limited sapphire edition U Ultra is especially available for Taiwanese HTC fans.
