Apple Rolls Out watchOS 3.2 Beta 7 To Developers: Theater Mode, SiriKit Introduced

Mar 21, 2017 12:50 PM EDT

Apple is all set to release the seventh watchOS 3.2 beta version to registered developers for Apple Watch. Along with this, the tech giant is also releasing macOS 10.12.4 Beta 8. Both of these updates would be available for developers to download over the air.

To download watchOS 3.2 beta 7 Apple users need to go to Watch> General> Software Update on their Apple Watch after proper configuration on their iPhone. However, to allow a smooth update, users are suggested not to tinker with their devices. Interestingly, the latest update has come less than a week after the release of its sixth version.

Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent of battery to make sure the update will not be interrupted. Also, the watch needs to be placed on the charger and within the range of the iPhone. The watchOS 3.2 beta 7 brings two features, the SiriKit Mode and the Theater Mode, MacRumors reported. SiriKit allows developers to integrate apps with Siri for certain uses. Prior to this beta update, Sirikit was available only on iOS apps.

With the Theater Mode, users can mute the sound on their watches and disable screen waking. But users would still be able to view notifications by tapping the screen or pressing the Digital Crown. This feature that is available in watchOS 3.2 beta 7 is extremely useful especially if users are busy, enjoying a movie or enjoying a game.

As per 9TO5 Mac, the developers must install the update immediately. This would help them fix bugs and improve performance. Since the eighth beta version might be on its way soon, tech experts feel that the final version might be knocking at the doors soon.

With the turn of events and the beta 7 being available for developers, Apple Watch users can soon expect watchOS 3.2 to come out on their device, probably within a few weeks. It is better to install the update through Wi-Fi as it would take up too much data.
