Xiaomi has been doing really well in the world of smartphones. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the new smartphone that is 4G enabled. Interestingly, the earlier version of the device, Redmi 4 sold over one million units in just 45 days.
The latest Xiaomi Redmi 4A was launched in India and has been priced at Rs. 5999. The device is said to have come as a replacement to Redmi 3S. Above all, it is the most affordable 4G smartphone from this Chinese phone manufacturer.
Even though Redmi has moved over plastic. Unlike Redmi 3s/3S Prime, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a poly-carbonate finish. The device doesn't look cheap, especially due to the metal coating that can make any buyer feel it is an all metal device. The device is extremely lightweight and weighs only 131g.
Unlike the Redmi 3s that had a curved back, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A has a flat finish. It is similar to the Redmi 1S. The company however has claimed the latest device is inspired from the Redmi 1S Android Authority reported. Coming to the size, this is a smartphone that fits into the hand well. It comes with a 5 inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. With 720p of display, the device offers decent sharpness and good colors.
According to BGR, It includes a 13 megapixel rear camera along with LED flash and a 5 megapixel selfie camera. Looking at the battery, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with 3120mAh battery unlike the Redmi 3S and 3S Prime with 4100mAh battery. The company has stressed over a 7 day standby time. Even though they haven't talked about the daily performance.
The device offers good connectivity features. These include4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, infrared, microUSB 2.0 as well as Bluetooth v4.1. Even though it is a dual SIM device, it includes a hybrid SIM tray. On the software front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.
