Google is working on its upcoming flagship Google Pixel 2 which is expected to be a premium handset. Company's Senior Vice President Rick Osterloh stated that the company is working on next generation Google Pixel which would be releasing later this year. After this confirmed news, Google Pixel 2's features are not a topic to discuss amongst the tech freaks.

Recently, Google's SVP disclosed in at a private meeting at Mobile World Congress that there will be a successor of Google Pixel, which may get launched in the later half of 2017. He provided an important hint by saying that, "There is an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it. You can count on a successor this year, even if you don't hear a date from me now,"

As the news of next generation Google Pixel emerged, the rumors about the handset have started emerging online. The foremost thing that today's consumers expect from the mobile phone is bigger and better display. It is speculated that Pixel will have a 5-inch screen with 2,560 x 1,440 HD resolution, just like current pixel device.

Secondly, water resistant body is also on the list of highly speculated features of Google Pixel 2. This feature will be most welcomed by the consumers as the current pixel is not water and dust resistance. Besides, Google is also reported to ditch the 3.5-mm audio jack making the phone rare Android handsets.

With the unlimited storage, Google Pixel is dominating the mobile market. But the device failed to provide good images. Google Pixel 2 is also tipped to have a superior camera and the company is focusing intensely on it.

Lastly, the upcoming Google Pixel 2 might have a Snapdragon 835 and 4GB of RAM. Besides, it is also possible that the company is testing two CPU options for the handset, as reported by Tech Times. The device is also rumored to run on Android 8.0 Orio, which will be might bring the device out of the box features.
