The rumors about the alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 have been running uncontrollably. The Mi 6, which has reportedly been delayed due to the Snapdragon 835 processor deal with Samsung, has been leaked again in a low-quality press render. The leaked image mentions the Xiaomi Mi 6 in a glossy black color variant.
The alleged image has been leaked on Weibo and was firstly spotted by Playful Droid. In the leaked image it shows the glossy black variant from front and back, with the back featuring chamfered edges just like Mi Note 2. Interestingly there's also a dual camera setup at the back, and the front is minimal with a Home Button embedded on the bottom of the device.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come in three variants. The premium variant is likely to boast a dual curved display. The flagship may launch on April 16, however, a Snapdragon 821 SoC integrated variant will be launched earlier, and the release of the most premium Xiaomi Mi 6 variant with Snapdragon 825 will be delayed until May this year.
Samsung has apparently signed a deal with Qualcomm for first availability of the latest processors to them. This means that only after the launch of the Galaxy S8 others will be able to put the processor in their flagship and launch. Samsung is scheduled to launch the Galaxy S8 on March 29, and therefore availability of the Snapdragon 835 will be scarce throughout April also, according to NDTV.
As for Specs, the most premium variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6 is said to have a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges. The premium Mi 6 is said to have a 6GB of RAM with 256GB of inbuilt storage, and a dual rear camera setup. The most basic variant of the Mi 6 will feature a 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The handset is also rumored to house a 4000mAh battery, as per GSM Arena.
For the release, the Xiaomi Mi 6 was expected to be announced in February but now with the latest updates, it looks like, it will most probably be announced around April-May this year. The Xiaomi has not yet revealed any information about the upcoming device's price, but speculations suggests that t will be priced at around CNY 2,499
