The former leading mobile manufacturer in the world is back to the smartphone industry with the recent release of the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and the new Nokia 3310 variants. The Finnish company is now planning to unveil two more smartphones this year where reports stated that it will be named as Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.
Nokia was one of the highlights last Mobile World Congress in which they launched two affordable Android phones and the enhanced Nokia 3310 2017 feature phone; as the comeback of the company in the mobile industry. However, Nokia Company has not yet revealed the rumored Nokia P1.
According to Techno Buffalo, Nokia is now planning to release another affordable smartphone named Nokia 7 and Nokia 8; which is going to be a mid-ranger smartphones. Recently, a Malaysian distributor leaked a slideshow presentation that HMD might launch at least six Nokia Android phones which cater into different segments; the low-end, mid-range and the high-end smartphone market along with a competitive price within the year 2017.
Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will both sport an announced Snapdragon 660 SoC; speculated to be mid-ranger smartphones. One smartphone will feature a smaller display with 1080p resolution, expected to be Nokia 7 while Nokia 8 will carry a QHD display. These devices are expected to be made with a metallic unibody and thinner bezels. Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 was said to be supported with a fingerprint sensor, bigger camera sensor, and larger batteries. These upcoming Nokia variants suggest a CarlZeiss lens though it is not yet confirmed by HMD if the company will use again the PureView optics that were originally used in Nokia Lumia phones.
Both Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat software which gives access to some of the most updated Google features. According to Forbes, it was also suggested that Nokia 8 will support Google's Daydream virtual reality platform compatibility and Galaxy S7-style IP68 certification. Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 were planned to be launched together with Nokia 9 and Nokia P1 which consumers might expect it in May or June this year.
